I believe most of the Police choppers were grounded too, as it was splashed all over the news last night I wonder if it was a bumper night for the crims Admin22010-04-17 07:11:03

West Mids AA were certainly grounded, and they attended a serious incident in the county via rapid response car.


I live opposite an RAF base where they fly helicopters and they've been grounded too - it's bliss, no night flying!!

Since the ash cloud was at 18000 ft was it overkill ?? Even then only jets were at risk because of the enormous amounts of air they suck in.
